Workshops
I'm currently offering several types of workshop to help other photographers. I feel that helping our industry keep standards high is extremely important.
Retouching Junction:
Having been a retoucher for over 20 years, I've picked up many tips and tricks that can transform you basic workflow, digital asset management and high end retouching.
This workshop includes:
•advanced skin retouching,
•masking using pen tool and layer masks,
•background replacement.
•texture overlays,
•body reshaping,
•retouching to add lighting effects.
Be the most bad-ass retoucher in town!
Retouching Junction can be either a class format for up to 10 students, or a one-on-one training session either in my retouching suite or in your home studio. The one-on-one class is only available on limited dates and there is already a waiting list - so don't wait too long before booking your spot.
Learn to turn base images like these, into a final, finished artwork like this one I produced for Sandy Puc's 2010 tour.
Pinned Up:
Pin-up photography has been my passion for a number of years, and it spawned Portland Pin-Ups - the North West's most awesome pin-up studio! The pinned-up workshop is held over one or two days, with up to 20 photographers where I'll teach the basics of pin-up photography, posing, lighting and working with clients. Each attendee receives hands on training and time with the models. After lunch we have a full session of post-production including skin retouching, masking and background replacement.
The Pinned-Up workshop sells out every time, so keep your eyes open for one near you. To be kept up to date for workshops near you, please send an email to:
If you have a large studio, and are interested in hosting either of these workshops, please get in touch. Workshops are being scheduled for most major cities over the next two years.
