This is Shannon. She came to my studio for a pin-up session recently and we created some awesome portraits!! This one though, stood out as one of my favorites.
She had an idea for a good girl / bad girl, and I ran with it.

This is Abigail! Another of my Pals contestants this year. This one won’t be her entry, because we can’t see her cute face, but it’s such a fun shot I had to share!

Yup – waiting for a client again recently I had another go at a self portrait. This then, is the chief cook and bottle washer, head honcho, and general dogsbody at Katchlight and Portland Pin-Ups. Yours truly….

For those of you that follow my pin-up work, you’ll know that my very first pin-up model was the lovely Cherry Dollface – this is the first pin-up we shot together. Not very “pin-uppy” I’ll admit, but we did end up shooting some amazing images together.
She moved to LA a couple of years ago, so we haven’t shot together since. However, I can announce today that she will be modeling for me and the students at my Pinned-Up workshop in Santa Clarita in June!!

This post travels to you from sunny California where I’m teaching one of my Pinned-Up classes. This time it’s a private workshop for an awesome company, XSiGHT USA. Run by the energetic Gail DeMarco, XSiGHT are a great bunch of guys and gals who have a wonderful studio and great business. They wanted to add pin-ups into their mix of portraits and weddings so I flew down to help them get started.
These are a few of the first shots from today’s workshop, of the very talented and lovely Darling Danika (All processed with my Pindora’s Box set)

Hey folks – I’m writing from Denver, Colorado where I’m going to be shooting the awesome Sandy Puc for an ad campaign for animoto! The shoot is going to be pinup-ish, but with some twists to suit Sandy’s style!
Sandy and her crew are awesome fun, and I’m having a great time…this really is the best job in the World! We’ll be shooting the animoto shot today in her studio, and then we’re going to do some more portraits of her and her crew in a different style….no secrets revealed yet, but it’s going to be fuun!
While Sandy may not be known to the general public, any photographer worth their salt knows who she is – she tours the World teaching her great brand of marketing and shooting, and she is also the brains behind Nilmdts. To be asked to shoot her is an honor, terrifying, and amazing all at the same time!
For those photographers who read my blog – keep watching your copy of Rangefinder…when you get January’s issue..the animoto ad in there is my image!!
More soon….
