Ah Photoshop – some photographers use it as a crutch when a shot goes badly wrong, some don’t use it all.

I’ve been a professional retoucher for over 20 years, since before Adobe even unleashed the beast on the World! My view of Photoshop is that it can certainly enhance a great photograph, but you can throw all that Photoshop has to offer at a bad shot…it’ll still be a bad shot!

Every photograph that goes into my albums, and any print that is ordered through my online galleries gets my full TLC attention in Photoshop. Eyes are made to pop and sparkle…bags are removed…skin is softened and cleaned. I also use Photoshop to add some further artistic interest to a shot and that’s very much my style!

ALL my wedding packages include a DVD of high resolution digital negatives – these files are straight out of the camera with some basic color correction to make them clean and give a bit of contrast. These are perfectly fine and can be taken to any lab to get you perfect prints. My packages are built so that I can charge a fair price for my time as a photographer – that’s where my talent and passion is – so once I’ve sold myself as your photographer, I’m not interested in being a salesman and pushing prints onto you after the big day. The DVD of files is yours to take and get prints made as you like. Some people however LOVE how my retouching experience can bring their images to a totally different level, and are happy to pay a small premium to buy the prints from me and have the Photoshop lovin. Either way, you are always guaranteed awesome images!
