I shot Lindsay and John’s engagement session a few months ago, and this last weekend joined them at the Portland Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden for their wedding! A relaxed and fun day was had by all.

Portland Wedding Photography – 2010 review

Ah – and so 2010 winds down…time to reflect on a great year of weddings! I had a real blast with my couples this year…tons of fun!

It’s very very hard to choose a single image from each wedding that is a favorite…so much so that I really can’t. The following is a photograph from every wedding this year, but not a favorite – some are shots that I like the composition, some are moments I remember well, others are just damn pretty…but for each one, there are many more from each wedding that I love equally…

Here then is my 2010 wedding season…

When Brides Attack – Portland Wedding Photography

It had to happen. When you shoot over 150 weddings, sooner or later you are going to get the ultimate bridezilla…that one that goes POSTAL….

And last night it happened….

When I met Michelle and Dmitri, I was instantly struck by how loving and peaceful they both seemed. I guess once she got that ring on her finger, Michelle’s true colors emerged…

Just before we got to the cake cutting shots, Michelle’s eyes took on an evil glint, and she flipped out.

First grabbing her husband, Dmitri, she made it clear who the boss now is and forced him into future submission at knife point….then she whipped around and attacked me with the same knife…

Chilling it was. I managed to capture her attack on Dmitri, and fire off one of her coming at me with the knife…my 2nd photography last night, Peter Chee, managed to get one of me bravely covering my face with my camera as she lunged at me…..

Needless to say, the episode left me shaken and glad that this years weddings are over…..

Of course – I’m kidding!!!! Michelle was awesome fun all day, and played up for the camera…as I love my brides to do!

These two were the perfect ending to my great year shooting weddings here in Portland, and I wish them all the best as they start they journey together…have fun in Cancun guys!!!

Kyra and William – Portland Wedding Photography

This past weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of shooting Kyra and William’s wedding at the Architectural Heritage Center in Portland.

They were originally going to tie the knot outside in a park in St Johns, but the wonderful Portland weather changed their minds!

This was a beautiful wedding – with just their closest family and friends for the ceremony.

Lauren and Sam!!! Lauren is the daughter of a friend of mine, Debbie, you may remember their engagement shoot a while back!!

They tied the knot at Camas Meadows Golf Club and it was awesome!!!

We’re deep into wedding season now! I’ve just finished up 3 weddings in 3 days!!!

Quite a few of my weddings this year are as a lead associate for Powers Studios, and many of the images from those weddings are over on their blog.

Yesterday though, I was up at the lovely Bridal Veil Lakes photographing the gorgeous Christy and her new husband Chris!

Ah – Lauren and Sam!!!
