May 21, 2011This is Lola (and her younger sister Nico. Nico is going to be part of this year’s Pals contest, but Lola is too old now. She took part in the art show I had for Pals a few years ago, and Mum and Dad wanted an updated shot of her.

Cake smash birthday portraits
April 28, 2011Or – to put it another way…happy 40th birthday to me!! Yup. In a few hours I’ll be 40 years old…hardly seems possible. Anyway, to celebrate this achievement (many thought I wouldn’t make it) I thought I’d have some fun.
While in Toronto recently to present a seminar on wedding photography at the NoBS Inferno, I asked my good friend, Kelly Scaccia, to help out with something dumb for my blog. She’s an amazing baby photographer so she was the perfect choice for a cake smash celebration! This was great fun to do, but I’d not recommend any adults doing this…least not sober! Even after a good shower I was still finding chocolate in my ears and nose hours later!!
Thanks to my awesome buddy James Hodgins for videoing the fun for me, and of course to Kelly for taking the pictures.

Deegan – Portland newborn photography
April 7, 2011Meet 10 day old Deegan!! I photographed his Mum and Dad’s wedding a few year’s ago. While shooting another wedding late last summer, and guess came to see me and said he recoginzed me as I’d shot Corinne and Spencer’s wedding.
“True!”, says I…”how are they?”
“Expecting their 2nd child” says he….!
Not long after, Corinne was in touch to sort out a newborn shoot for Deegan.
