Lauren and Sam!!! Lauren is the daughter of a friend of mine, Debbie, you may remember their engagement shoot a while back!!
They tied the knot at Camas Meadows Golf Club and it was awesome!!!
Thanks Lauren, Sam and Debbie for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing day!
Here are a few of my faves….

A good friend of mine, Jim Arnal, has started an amazing service for Portland – www.portlandoregon.com.
He explains it better than me…from the website:
“PortlandOregon.com was created to help our community find and share information in an effort to enrich community interaction and promote the support of local businesses.”
He asked if I could provide some product photography for their new ad campaigns and I was glad to help! Here are the iPad, iPhone and laptop he had me shoot for them.
The website is an awesome resource for Portlanders – you can find me on there too!!

We’re deep into wedding season now! I’ve just finished up 3 weddings in 3 days!!!
Quite a few of my weddings this year are as a lead associate for Powers Studios, and many of the images from those weddings are over on their blog.
Yesterday though, I was up at the lovely Bridal Veil Lakes photographing the gorgeous Christy and her new husband Chris!
What a fabulous day!!
Here are a few of my favorites – and congratulations to Christy and Chris, and all the best for a fantastic married future together!

Photographers HATE having their picture taken. That’s why most of us became photographers so we could hide behind a camera!!
But the time has come for a new headshot…and being bored waiting for some products for a shoot to arrive the other day I had a quick go at a self portrait….I think it turned out rather well….

Meet Amanda – she came to Portland Pin-Ups wanting a calendar for her husband for Father’s Day – sure!!!
We had a ton of fun shooting this, and I hear he loved the calendar!!
Enjoy the video and images:

Ah – Lauren and Sam!!!
I’m going to be shooing their wedding at the end of the month and it’s going to be a blast!
Lauren is my friend Debbie’s daughter. I met Debbie via a great online photography site:
and she asked if I could shoot their wedding!
I have another great friend, Jason Abbott, from Texas flying up to help out – and I can’t wait!
Here are some faves from the day:

Phew – that was fun!
First time I’ve been back to California since I left in 2008, and the weather didn’t disappoint!
The venue for my Pinned-Up workshop this time was the Santa Clarita Center for Photography run by Mel Carll (a new friend!) This workshop came about after I met the awesome William Innes at WPPI in Vegas this year, and he asked if I could bring the pin-up fun to Southern California…sure!
We had three great models, a bunch of fun students and had a blast. When I present these workshops we spend a day shooting, posing and lighting and then a day discussing marketing and intensive post-production.
Next stop for one of my pinned-up workshops is likely to be New York in September. If you want me to stop off in your town – send me an email!!
If you are a studio owner and want to host, get in touch! Let’s talk!
Here are a couple of the first images worked so far- the lovely Amy:

First wedding of what is going to be a very busy year!! Meet Elisa and Joe, two great friends of mine, and I was lucky enough to be asked to capture their wedding at the UP chapel, and then the fun at Urban Studio in downtown Portland.
For my first wedding this year, I asked a good friend of mine, Alison Berk, from Humboldt Canada to fly down to 2nd shoot for me and I can’t wait to see her vision of the day! We also had another good friend, Dawn Schubert from California come up to assist too!!
I’ll be shooting 30 weddings this year – some for my company, Katchlight, and some as a lead associate for Powers Studios and I’m looking forward to every one of them!
