Yup - just like London bus…nothing for 2 weeks then 2 posts in the same day! Here are a couple of recent pin-ups.
First, the lovely Tiffany. She came to me wanting to shoot some Marilyn Monroe inspired portraits, which we did and they look great..not for your eyes yet though! Here is a quick one I caught as she was preparing for a pose:

And here is Mandy. We’ve been working on some concept pin-ups and there are some really cool images coming soon, for now here she is in her Halloween costume! Arrrghhh matey!

Ok - so I’ve been a bad blogger….2 weeks since I last posted! Wedding season ended for me last week with the marriage of Stacy and Kyle up at Bridal Veil Lakes, and I’ve been busy catching up on processing, commercial work and some pin-ups and have just not updated the blog!! Sorry!
So - here are a few from my last wedding of 2008. If you are getting married in 2009 then get in touch, we have some awesome plans for next year!

These two kids have been together for 18 years, and NOW they decide to tie the knot!! Jason is one big fella, so to see him ball like a baby when he saw his bride brought a tear to everyone - including me!! What a wonderful day - thanks for the fun guys!

Meet the lovely Tori, and the awesome Andrew! I photographed their engagement session earlier in the year so they knew what to expect on their big day! We had a ton of fun and the dancing was wild!

Check out Jessica and Nic - cuter than a bug’s ear! Childhood sweethearts who tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony up at Bridal Veil Lakes a couple of weeks ago (yeah…I’m still behind in blogging!).
A great day was had by all - all the best to Mr and Mrs Hall!

For two days only, I’m offering an awesome price for your pin-up session!! Book now, these will go quickly!

Minh and Floyd - 2 sweeter people you couldn’t hope to meet! Their wedding was great fun, and afterwards we headed down for an hour or so of great portrait time around OMSI. Here are 5 of my faves from the day:

Here are a few more from Lysa and Mark’s big day a couple of weeks ago. Awesome fun!

So - a whole week with no blog update is far too long…but hey! I’ve been busy! We are deep into wedding season right now, and each weekend I’ve been truly lucky to have such amazing clients to work with!
Last weekend it was BG and Carlos. This was a last minute arrangement to help out my buddy Ben Powers, and it turned out to be one of the sweetest days…and also one of the hottest! (102f in the church…pheew!)

A week late, but here are some of my favorites from an awesome wedding at Persimmon’s Country club, and then the party afterwards at La Costita - which just happens to be the groom’s own restaurant!!Their first dance…man - didn’t see that coming….not your average slow song for this couple, these two rocked the house with a banging Latin dance number, including dancing right through the restaurant and back!! Great fun.

Not really a get out of the shot - but this is a fun image from my 2nd photographer from Lysa and Mark’s wedding on Friday! We had a blast wandering around the Pearl District as the sun was going down! Here’s a shot from Cammie (great job Cammie!) and then the shot that I was taking at the time!

As promised - some big news for fans of pin-up photography. After months of behind the scenes preparations, I’m very pleased to unveil….Portland Pin-Ups!!! The 50’s are back and more popular than ever, so celebrate with an awesome portrait session in the classic pin-up style! You’ll feel pampered and loved in my studio, starting with the attention of a professional make-up artist and hair stylist! Then we have a fun filled hour or so shooting you in all sorts of cheesy scenes. Then I work my retouching magic to produce a portrait that will wow you and your friends, and that you will treasure for years to come. If pin-up isn’t your thing, I also shoot glamour and ‘intimate’ style portraits - perfect for capturing your beauty and cherishing into the future.
Fellas - this makes a wonderful gift for the lady in your life!
Head over to Portland Pin Ups now to view the gallery and learn more!

Portlanders - get down to the Tanker Bar on SE Hawthorne and 48th for a fantastic display of some of Cherry’s calendar images! 6 of the best are on show for the next couple of weeks and they look awesome framed! Don’t miss it! You can also pick up a calendar while you’re there!
Also - stay tuned for some huge pin-up related news soon………..
This was a full, but very satisfying day’s shooting. Lisa and Auston - a lovely romantic couple! We started the day out at Edgefield, and ended it down by the river next to Omsi, in the dead of night!! Great fun!

Yup - it’s a never-ending habit. Here I am spoiling a perfectly good shot from my 2nd shooter Derek last weekend. Sorry mate!! What can I say, I like to get in the thick of the action!
In the early hours of this morning my site was hacked. A small malicious file was placed in every single folder that directed people away from my site and onto a virus site.
Thanks.
It’s taken pretty much all day to identify what happened and try to deal with it. At the moment, all links are broken, although the main page is back up.
I’ll fix it as soon as I can! I may update my blog software while I’m at it and that might break the whole thing…stay tuned!
A very hacked off Mike.
Sarita and Jaime - two cool cats getting hitched in August…should be a blast!

Corinne and Spencer! So good, I shot them twice in the same week!! Ok - so having your engagement shoot 2 days before the wedding is a little unusual, but it was a great evening, and I’ve just downloaded my cards from their beautiful wedding today and what an awesome day it was!! Here are a few sneak peaks of the e-session from Thursday, and 2 very quick ones from today…more soon! Best of luck to the happy couple!

If anyone ever asks you if the water flowing from Mt Hood is cold…you can tell them from me that it’s FREEZING!!!
Meet Vicki and Dan. Vicki is a friend of mine from a photo forum, and a fellow photographer. Her and hubby Dan are from Canada and very used being out in the elements. She contacted me a while back to see if I could capture them in a portrait / Trash the dress session when they hit town for a few days….certainly!! I had no idea they’d be this much fun! After an hour or so messing around in my favorite Portland location (abandoned factory) we headed for the Gorge and a waterfall. Both game for a laugh, they got right in there…under the waterfall, and laying down in the freezing waters! I got in there too, up to my knees only though….I had a camera to protect!!
Here are the first few….what an amazing session!!
